All Zeecon customers please be advised of the following upcoming SCHEDULED SERIOUS OUTAGE the week of MARCH 25th. You will be receiving this notice daily until the day of the scheduled emergency maintenance.
THIS OUTAGE WILL AFFECT YOUR ZEECON INTERNET SERVICE.
This outage will take place on MARCH 29th at 8:00 am and is expected to last at least 12 HOURS.
LCRA will be performing scheduled emergency maintenance on fiber optic transmission lines between Marble Falls and Austin. There is damage to the lines that is getting worse at an alarming rate and needs immediate attention. Due to the nature of the repair, the location, and the types of cable involved this will be a serious undertaking.
IF YOU WORK FROM HOME, RUN A BUSINESS, OR HAVE ANY OTHER SERIOUS DEPENDENCE ON THE INTERNET YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE ALTERNATE PLANS FOR THAT DAY.
Zeecon Wireless Internet and the LCRA have been partners since our beginning with a shared commitment to serve the Hill Country communities. The use of LCRA fiber optic resources allowed and continues to allow Zeecon connectivity into internet bandwidth and service in the Austin area that cannot be obtained locally even today. In a world full of reasons for internet interruptions, this is the first ever issue we have had with our LCRA fiber path. In this case it is simply unavoidable. Due to the urgency involved they are moving forward with repair as soon as possible.
This will be a significant outage and there will be no way for us to work around it. Work will start in the morning as daylight is needed this type of work. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and ask for your patience and understanding while our partners handle this emergency repair.
As always, if you have any questions please let us know. Email would be preferred so that we do not have an overwhelming influx of calls. help@zeecon.com
